Belvu (Susan)

Food
Taste – The food is not the reason to come here. Mostly they serve standard Turkish fare and not the absolute highest quality. (Belvu cannot be favorably compared to Mabeyn, Lacivert or Cercis Murat, which all serve much better food). I liked the hot items that were served here like kavurma (lamb cooked in fat) and I had a delicious omelet, but for the most part the food is not special or unique.
Presentation – Adequate, but not great. They offer two tables with carelessly displayed food to the left of the entrance.
Freshness – Average. The bread did not taste particularly fresh.
Variety – Adequate, but not great. This is probably the bare minimum that you could offer and still call yourself an open buffet, however, I felt satisfied.Price – 30 lira. Expensive for what you get in terms of food.

Milieu
Physical place/Aesthetic - This is why you should come here—right on the shore off a peaceful street, you feel like you’re soaking up the Sunday sun and living Istanbul bliss. This is by no means the best spot on the Bosporus (go to Lacivert if you haven’t yet), but there is a slowness along this shore, which is quite pleasant.
Service – Adequate. Waiters seem overworked and harried, but at a buffet like this, you do not need their attention too much.
Crowd – Typical Kadikoy people.
Transportation - Not easy to reach without a car

Uniqueness
Here it is the location—the peacefulness that you seek—not the best brunch of your life. Sometimes a nice location is more important than food and that makes this restaurant special.
