Smyrna (Susan)

Food
Presentation – Nothing special
Taste – I ordered Eggs Benedict, but it was not Eggs Benedict. First of all, it had spinach on it (which is supposed to be on Eggs Florentine—a similar dish, but without meat). Second of all, it was served on sliced, toasted, white bread, not an English muffin. Third, it was served with salty bacon, not with Canadian bacon. Finally, it was accompanied by a nice salad, which had capers and sundried tomatoes in it. It was good, but I’m not accustomed to a salad with Eggs Benedict or with breakfast at all for that matter…..On the positive side, the Hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs were good. Overall, the taste was bad, but I can’t decide if they deserve points for creativity….?
Freshness - Good
Variety - Very good—pancakes and eggs benedict are at least on the menu even if they do a bad job with them….
Price – Expensive-very overpriced for what you get!!

Milieu
Physical place – Cihangir—easy to find
Aesthetic – I liked the interior decoration—eclectic comfortable I’d call it…. However with an interior like that, the food should be half the price they’re asking.
Service – The waiters were very uninterested in us and our enjoyment…
Crowd – Cihangir types….Transportation – easy to find walking from Taksim or by taxi.
Uniqueness – Some unique menu items, but not done well and therefore not worth the price…..

Pleasure/Price 5/10

Bottomline 5/10
